Role profile

IT leadership across people, software and operations

When development, people and operations pull in different directions, even good solutions become hard to deliver. As an IT leader, I can help turn those competing needs into clear priorities. My experience comes from responsibility for employees, customers, software and operations in my own businesses. It gives me a practical basis for asking what the business needs, what the team can realistically deliver and which technical choices will hold up afterwards.

Relevant experience for the IT leader role

At Modified Solutions, I built a software business with up to 16 employees and responsibility for recruitment, staff development, customers, capacity and delivery. At avecdo, I took a SaaS product from idea to daily operation. As CTO at Mira Internet, I was responsible for hosting and business-critical services. Together, these experiences give me a practical view of IT leadership: understand the need, choose a workable solution and ensure the team and operations can support it.

People and priorities

I set clear expectations and give people the autonomy to solve their tasks. My colleagues have held independent responsibility while knowing I was available for support and decisions. Development conversations have covered professional growth as well as wellbeing. When a delivery problem affects a customer, I take responsibility for the conversation so specialists can focus on resolving it. Accessibility, trust and clear direction are recurring themes in the recommendations from people I have led.

Operations and technical decisions

My technical background covers software development, databases, integrations, Linux and hosting. I have worked with server operations, capacity, backup, redundancy and monitoring, giving me a practical understanding of how development decisions affect ongoing operations. In customer projects, I translated needs into specifications, priorities and deliveries with developers. As an IT leader, I use that foundation to ask useful questions, clarify dependencies and make decisions that serve both daily operations and the organisation's next requirements.
