I have worked on integrations between webshops, finance and ERP systems and customers' other platforms, including Microsoft Dynamics, Business Central, SAP and e-conomic. I start with the workflow: where data originates, who needs it and which decisions still belong with people.

Map data and workflows

At an online plant retailer, I worked on automating the order flow between the webshop, the finance system and suppliers. For an international service company, I led the development of a mobile process where information was transferred automatically into the customer's system. The projects are different but share the same core: the technology had to fit an existing workflow and make it possible for several parts of the organisation to work together.

Standard software or custom development

I have also worked with webshops and product data. That does not mean every platform needs replacing when something is not working. I have often recommended looking at standard solutions and the total cost before choosing a custom-built one. A technically elegant project can be a poor decision if the company cannot run or change it sensibly afterwards.

My role between business and developers

My job in that kind of work is to clarify needs with the business and give the developers a clear task. I can engage with architecture, backend and the operational consequences, while the specialists own the specific technical choices. I am used to talking with the customer's decision-makers about expectations, priorities and quality, so we can choose a solution on an informed basis.

In a permanent IT leadership role, I can help create an overview of the connections the company already depends on and prioritise the next improvement based on real value and operational responsibility. That connection between business and technology is what I want to contribute.
